Tucked into the center of Fluvanna County is River Hill. The home, circa 1860, is reported as being built by John Hartwell Griffin, a renowned 19th century Fluvanna County builder. After driving down the long wooded driveway, the woods open up to a beautiful mature lawn with the traditional two-over-two farmhouse as its focal point. At the very front of the yard is the original mounting stone which surely aided many riders over the years.
